The fact that no one knows the day of Jesus’ return should motivate us to live every single day in light of the imminence of Christ’s return.
I am not scoffing at the fact that The Lord Jesus is coming back. So please keep your immature judgment to yourself. I believe our Lord can come back today. The New Testament Jesus does not need anything from us to allow Him to return. He doesn't need another temple or a peace treaty between Jews and Muslims or anything like that. When He determines that day is right, He will come. Could be today.

There is only one truth...and believing he needs our help to build earthly temples is not it. His temple has been built since the first believer was indwelt with the Holy Spirit.

Over and over and over again in the Old Testament there were prophesies concerning Jesus that were right on the mark.

Consider just the one that Jesus road into Jeruselum riding on a baby donkey.

Zechariah 9:9 -- "Thy King comes unto thee: just and lowly, and riding upon a donkey, even upon a colt, the foal of a donkey." -- Fulfilled by Jesus during the Triumphal Entry.

IMHO Part of the fulfilling of prophesy is God's way of converting even the most scholarly. I mean it's one thing to say man has walked on the moon. It's quite another to proove that it was a preplanned occurance by describing the vehicle decades before it happens.

God likes to say "I told you so!" IMHO that's so that all those nay sayers can't go back and say... "why didn't He take me? I'm a good person.... your god's so mean! boo hoo!!"

I do not see peace in that part of the world.

Ever.

Ever.

Basically, you have hit the nail on the head for what Hamas has in store for Israel.

For those who may not be aware of Islamic military strategies, the present cease-fire that is going on between Israel and the Palestinians is called a "Hudna". Any resulting peace will be short-lived albeit the Islamic deception would be to make everyone think they are going to honor any peace agreement with Israel. Hamas has vowed to exterminate Israel and all Jewish culture but for now, the Muslim groups will make it appear as if they are seriously willing to come to "peaceful" terms with Israel.

( Google the word-search for Hudna. )

Biblical prophecy mentions of the troubled region in the Middle East being specifically with armies that are against Israel. The prophecy indicates that at a certain point in history (?) there will be a short span of time when it will appear that a "true" peace plan will have finally been established in the Middle East. Jews and Muslims will not be at odds and people will begin to think that there is now peace and security in the region and the world. Then the peace-pact is broken and armies begin a full-scale assault against Israel.

For now - it's a wait and see situation on how long this cease-fire will last and if a peace agreement is declared and if a two-state solution will come to fruition in the near future.

I agree.
Matthew 24:32
And from the fig tree learn a parable: When the branch thereof is now tender, and the leaves come forth, you know that summer is nigh.

That being said, I don't think the time is near. I think we are getting ready to go through a very painful chastisement then a renewal.
