Many have done that but they've ruined lives because of it: Joseph Smith, L Ron Hubbard, etc. As long as you remember the concept of "context" you'll learn a lot but I wouldn't go right out and start preaching. If you pick up a study Bible you'll learn more, faster.

Everyone can benefit from someone who knows Scripture more than they do and a simple course on reading the Bible and how it's written would be a big help to you...

You'd be surprised at how much you would learn and be able to share with people just by reading the Gospels alone. Try it sometime...

Ah, but I have defended and pointed out the difference between Sola Scriptura and the Roman Catholic teachings about who Jesus is. The Truth is that the RCC has indoctrinated you to believe in a totally different "Jesus" and "Mary" and points a different way of Salvation than what is taught within the context of the Holy Bible (Sola Scriptura).

The "Jesus" that Catholics believe in is NOT the New Testament Jesus of the Holy Bible and that's why Sola Scriptura does not work for Catholics.

I will point it out once again, and will continue to point out that what the RCC teaches about "Jesus" is not Biblically correct and you have been taught to trust in another "gospel," another "Jesus" and another "Mary" that are not from the context of The New Testament teachings.

1.) The "Jesus" that Catholics believe in is accompanied in Heaven by Mary who has been elevated to the position of "Queen of Heaven," Mediatrix," Co-Redemptrix," "Advocate," "Helper," "Queen of Angels," and is able to help souls get into Heaven;

2.) The "Jesus" that Catholics believe in allows followers to pray to the dead and to select "patron saints" for guidance and intercession rather than trust in Him alone for guidance and intercession that believers have through the empowering Holy Spirit as mentioned in the Holy Bible;

3.) The "Jesus" that Catholics believe in manifests Himself in the Eucharist and during Communion, parishioners literally ingest the physical Blood and physical Flesh of Jesus;

4.) The "Jesus" that Catholics believe in directs souls to a spiritual half-way house known as "purgatory" for a soul-cleansing before being able to be admitted into Heaven;

5.) The RCC Jesus is NOT the Jesus of The New Testament.

That's why Sola Scriptura does not work for you and to which you have rightfully acknowledged by your response:

and..............this bothers you so much!!
You rant and squawk about this so "religiously".
Just leave us Catholics alone we are very comfortable in our relationship with God.

Go off into your non-demon world and be a fisher of men not of Catholics.

I'd at least listen to what you have to say. After all, the Athenians at least listened to what the apostle Paul had to say and considered it.
