| Which Sola Scripture Church....... has the correct interpretation? I just checked. Southern Maryland has approximately 138 Churches that practice Sola Scripture. Some of these include churches next door and across the street from each other. I may actually change from my beliefs in the Roman Catholic Church after its two thousand years of it existence, because after all it only has 30 Churches in Southern Maryland and it doesn't matter which one you go into they all preach the same stuff, like having only 30 movie theatres in Southern Maryland and all showing the same movie, "boring". Some actually have cool names like "God's Healing Zone","Oasis of Victory Christian Church International", "Peculiar People Christian Church", "Waldorf Vineyard", I thought non-denominationals didn't drink, oh well that one might sway me, but what of the interpretations? Each one has a different pastor who I am sure has their own. A new one might be best, like the one that opened up in the stripmall on Great Mills Road last week. Please help. | Do all of the Southern Baptist churches in Southern Maryland preach the same gospel? Yes. Do you preach the same thing as Eastern Orthodox? Yet they can receive communion in your church. And if there is any merit to "apostolic succession" (there isn't IMHO) or to being the original church, they have a better claim to it than Rome. "do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham."

| Et tu Bird Dog? ![]() Apparently, by the responses from a few of you, there is little discernment in your "chosen" denomination. If 10 people were to take a medical journal and try to interpret it, I'm sure there would be a few different ideas as to what it really means. Does that make the medical journal wrong because of the different interpretations? HELLO! That's the point folks. The Book is right; the people are often wrong. Let's get some discernment here...

| No my brother, just pointing out the error of relying on church membership or age to make correct judgments. By that reasoning, Jews are right because their covenant is older.

If you simply read that same medical journal you reference, does that make you a doctor?

As Jesus was having a meal in Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with Jesus and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” When Jesus heard this he said, “Those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. Go and learn what this saying means: ‘ I want mercy and not sacrifice .’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Matthew 9:10-13 NET)

If you look at my posts, I have not condemned any sect of Christianity. I have only trashed the Holy Rollers who think that it is their way or the highway to Hell. You are obviously a student of theology. You know more about the Catholic Church than most Catholics do. My problem is as you quoted in Matthew, the Roman Catholics are not the sick ones, as I do not believe the other Christian sects are. I beleive the sick ones are the ones are the ones who do not believe, have believed and have fallen away. As Christians these are the ones who are sick and need physicians, let us all help them. God bless us all. Last edited by Bird Dog; 01-08-2013 at 08:37 PM.

| How in the world did you find this? This must've taken an awful lot of digging.
