I have spent time with you IRL a time or two and I must say I agree with your statement. IRL you are still true to who you are, but you are not as "overpowering" as you seem on here. Then again... maybe I just haven't had a chance to be with you IRL when you were on a roll...

I admit there have been times when I would get a little spun up. I think that is fairly rare as God has more of His way in my life.

I am excited to be one of God's children. I had become kind of tepid in my walk, but as I read my Bible I became convicted that God wants His people to be on fire for Him. He doesn't want a nice little cozy fire in the fireplace. He wants to be an all consuming fire in our lives, but I'm getting off into a Thought for the Day that I am working on.

Here is a quick thought to tweek minds. God still exists even if you can't see Him. He still loves you when you are unlovable. God bless each of us with exactly what we need.

The persecution has begun01-09-2005 04:04 PMWhen you mature in your Faith - You will have no need for War.

Please o learned one, show me where it says this in the Bible.

Rhetorical. It does not. God even instructed the Israelites to go to war and also used war to chastise the Israelites and other countries. I can quote scripture to back this up. Would you like it?

You are now talking about war as many of the muslims do... Do you ever take a moment to listen to yourself? And find where in the new testiment it says that 2A...

I'm not trying to pick a fight. It is just that war is part of the imperfect human condition. You asked for a quote from the New Testament so here is one by Jesus.
Quote:
Matthew 24:6-8
6"You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. 7"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 8"But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
There are others.

I don't think war is ever good, but it can be the right thing to do if you understand my meaning. I would rather there were never any wars or murders or thefts or fornication or any of the myriad things that people do to hurt themselves and other people. They are just facts of the human sin nature. I hope that makes it clearer.

It is funny (strange) the amount of flack that I get from people that have been friendly either on the board or in real life when I quote the Bible.

It is OK to be knowledgeable about the Second Amendment, the Constitution, elected officials, computers, and virtually anything else, but let knowledge of the Bible come to the surface and the people that were "friends" become acrid. I become a "Bible thumper" or "Holier than thou" or "sanctimonious" or confrontational or a fool and am laughed at. I just find that amazing.

It is just that I am concerned about the eternal outcome of life as much or more than the political outcome. I love and care about people. I hate the way our country is going, the world for that matter. God help and bless us all.
