You'll no doubt get more for just posting this, as will I for responding. Tough crowd in this section.

my reading comprehension is fine, but yours is obviously lacking if you think you answered my question.

It IS obvious that we are closer to the end, but not because of some doomsday that was predicted in any book, by any men. Instead becasue if we accept that this world can end, then every day moves us one day closer to the end. the things you sited in matthew were happening before and at the time of his writting, so what does it prove- nothing about the future.

now, back to your chicken littling

You gotta admit tho that it *is* funny. Truthfully, it doesn't matter at all to me, but this is the only section I get red karma in.

Your reading comprehension is fine in your own mind. I think it is lacking. If it is not lacking, then, as I have suspected, you are just looking for a "fight." I am not obliged to give you one. Have a great life. In my opinion, your quality of afterlife is in question.

By the way, even if your reading comprehension is great, your spelling and English skills stink.

again you go straight attacking gramer (sp on porpoose) when you can't defend your statements.

And you are the one who replied o my post attacking my reading comprehension- so who is looking for a fight?

seriously though, I think this forum should not be used to force any particular religion on anyone, but to discuss a variety of religions. While I am a Catholic, I feel bad for any non-christian attempting to converse in this religion forum; they're ultimately battered with quotes from the bible and Christian beliefs, to which they do not believe, and shunned for discussing their own beliefs. It just doesn't seem fair.

Okay, now I feel better Just wanted to get my opinion out there.

This is not true.

There were some muslims who came in here a while back. At first they got slammed (and not by the people who are by and large known for their religious zeal) - but ultimately they didn't come in here to discuss Islam.

They came in here to debate about Christianity - and they went on to contradict anything that Christians said on the subject, explaining what it is that Christians really believe.

That got really annoying, really fast.

Well unfortunately - the two biggest demographics around here, as far as religion goes, are atheists and christians.

If a Zoroastrian came in here, wanting some conversation, it's not that they're being "shunned" because they don't receive a warm reception... its because there aren't any other Zoroastrians here to ring in the welcome wagon.

That's not anybody's fault. It's just the way it is.

I would LOVE to see some religious diversity in here.... if only so that people would say that Christians are unfairly hogging the forum.

Plus, believe it or not, I do like reading and learning about other religions besides the one I think is right.

They may not be unfairly hogging it now, but they sure dominate it.
