Restaurant ideas for hubby's BDay

Hubby's BDay is on Monday. I want to take him out to dinner, someplace with a nice atmosphere and great food/service. Waterfront would be great. Is it still possible to find all that? It seems everywhere we've gone lately, the service has been really crappy.

We don't eat seafood. His favorites are steak, chicken parm or chicken alfredo. Any recommendations? I wouldn't mind heading down to St Mary's if the place was worth the drive. I did a forum search and was thinking of maybe trying a Solomons Island place. TIA!

Thanks, I was reading through it earlier this morning and was about to check out the menus online. Because we don't eat seafood, I have to make sure there are other options and that the place seems large enough to not have an overwhelming seafood "aroma". I know, we're high maintenance!

I'm hoping some St Mary's people chime in with some good options down there, too.

Hmmmm, that would make you an illegal alien round these parts, methinks.

Thursdays in North Beach usually had good steaks, but if you really want a water view there is always the Rod and Reel in Chesapeake Beach.

The West Lawn Inn is the best restaurant in the beaches.

I sure am and so is hubby. And I grew up on Long Island, NY so I've always been tormented for not eating seafood.
