Need a car!

Hello .. i have been looking around route 4 and stuff ... i need a small car .. don't care about make/model .. that doesn't use alot of gas (i have a ford explorer) .. so anything about 25+ mpg would work, it has to be cheap .. i only have about $1000 .. so a junk car maybe? .. it needs to be drivable and passes inspection .. i work in DC .. and the damn truck is killing me.. send me a message or post .. thanks

could you give me more info on that please? i am not used to spending time buying a car... but now it's killing me .. out of school and still no job .. i am BORED of staying home ..

EDIT: i have looked on some newspapers, but not lately ...
