If anyone could offer name(s)/location of a dealership that you have dealt with and are pleased with I would really appreciate it. thanks so much

Its true... I used to work for a New/Car Dealership, one of those ones that is owned by the same person who owns 99% of the Ford and Dodges in SoMD.

I remember telling people year this is a one owner car, it used to be owned by Hertz Rental Car company. now I worked there in July - Aug 07, and it was a 2007 Taurus with around 20-35k miles on them. We'd get them in by the dozens.

I would suggest getting financed through your bank and find a private seller who has proof of the car.

My advice is to stay away from Used Car dealerships.

Go to a new Car Dealership that sells it's own trade-In used cars.

Most Used Car Dealerships buy their cars at auction . New Car dealerships get their's as trade-ins for new cars . They keep the best for sale and auction the junk. Now some of them do buy auctioned cars also, but for the most part theys sell their trades. They also have a repair facility while many used car dealerships just hire a jack leg mechanic to keep their stuff rolling.

I recently bought a used car from Southern Toyota and have been happy with it and them. In the past I have bought cars from Bell Motor in Leonardtown and have had good luck with them also. Bell will sometimes give you the name of who traded the car if you bother to ask.

I will agree with on the used car dealerships, while i dont regret buying my truck i know i should have went to a big dealer.

Now with toyota, they said since i was a first time buyer they could put me in a $12k trailblazer, but they could put me a $16k camry or a $18k 4 runner. While i know they give incentives to first time buyers and incentives for toyota's, it didnt make any sense that they could sell me a vehcile that was over $6k more than what i was looking at.

Where you taking multiple prescription drugs when you came up with a crazy idea like this one?

Since most used car dealerships in the So Md area get their used cars from public auto auctions, just cut out the middle man and go to a car auction... You'll see all of your favorite local dealers there as well.

Mason Dixon Auto Auction is their favorite

Don't know about down here.. but in the NE most auto auction places required a dealers license.. they weren't open to the general public

It would be if they were a Toyota, Honda or Nissan dealer.
