I have a 1996 Nissan 200sx that my kid drives and he called today to tell me the car was vibrating in 5th gear and the check engine light is on, drove it and the drive train seems ok, pretty sure whatever reason the code is on is the reason the vibration is there. Does this car have the ODB2 on board and what code reader would you recommend that wont break the bank on a part time mechanic? Thought about taking to a auto parts store and see if they can get the codes but thought I might buy one as well. Any help appriciated.
