Since when did MVA

stop refunding the unused portion of registration on your vehicle when you sell it? Or did they just fail to mention it. All I know is I looked at the reciept for the tags and where it says refund amt it is blank.

Only full year portions are refunded. Did you have less than a year remaining on your registration?

I recently sold/bought a vehicle and was refunded my registration. I had just renewed in September and just bought a vehicle in February-ish.

Been that way a long time full year only, or they pocket the change.

I sold my van a few weeks ago. Went to MVA and turned my tags in and signed a paper. I was there for 2 minutes. I received my refund 2-3 weeks later.

I didn't get anything when I turned in the tags for my bike....I think I had 11 months left on them
