| At 87K there are way too many options for GREAT cars out there to even think of buying a corvette (if I was going to drop 87k on a car)..

So GM doesn't have a 650 HP Corvette, Callaway modifies existing Corvettes and MAKES them 650 HP?? Kind of like the Fiat 500 Abarth, just not quite as well made??

| They are an authorized aftermarket company similar to what mustangs have with Saleen. The upgrades are purchased through your authorized chevy dealer and still covered under your warranty. GM even covers the upgrades under their GMAC financing. |

| Well, it's an odd relationship, like the Rausch Mustangs. Not like the Arbath, which is more akin to an AMG/M/SRT in-house relationship. Arbath used to be independant, but was bought by Fiat a long time ago. The cars are sent to Callaway, who mods them, then they are shipped to dealerships. Note sticker on it was 93K........whooooooo. And ther powertrain warranty is through Callaway, not GM, nto that that really matters a lot to me, I do trust Callaway.

The warranty work is done at GM dealers so who really cares who floats the bill. To the customer this is all transparent. | |

| Indeed it is. And a 1600HP Henessey Viper would mop up the floor with a Callaway Corvette....any time anywhere. The topic was production automobiles. If we want to talk about factory-approved or factory-associated modified cars then my Hall Pantera is "stock" too.

| Ok, what about the 638hp ZR1? It is absolutely a 100% factory corvette. |
