Burning Smell..

coming from my front passenger side of the car.. You can't smell it around the other 3 tires.. had a few guys check the brakes - nothings stuck.. checked all the hoses - no leaks and clamps are fine...u could smell it INSIDE the car yesterday - not so much today but this morning a little bit of smoke came from behind the wheel well of the passenger side.. just once.. vacuumed around the motor to get any dirt and leaves around the motor (wasn't much) but.. any suggestions? wondering if a mouse is up in there somewhere..

What kind of car?
My VW leaked oil from the valve cover and VC area on the passenger side. I had smoke there once the engine heated up.

Had this exact issue on a 99 Blazer. I replaced the caliper, didnt fix it, same problem. When it does that, very cautiously, approach the brake area of the wheel with the back of your hand, DO NOT TOUCH THE WHEEL , IT WILL BE VERY HOT!!!!!! And do it to the other wheels. If it's significantly hotter, what you most likely have is a failure inside the brake line itself.

There is an inner lining, that, it if fails the right way, acts like a check valve, keeping pressure on that caliper (the part that presses the pads on the rotor). I swapped out that one brake line and the problem was gone.

Feel your steering as you drive very closely, see if you have a slight pull towards that side........on most roads, you always have a little pull to the right, due the crowning of the roadway, don't forget that, so use falt pavement for this check..
