Bob, I dont know, that little car took something twice it size to the door, and it appears that all the occupants will live. Dont know, but if the SUV was on 235, figure a 50-60mph impact speed. Side curtain airbags aapear to have done they job.

Only so much a car can do when over 4,000lbs impacts at speed. I would venture to say a larger car without the side airbags, the driver (I'm assuming Dad) would be dead at impact. And RR, the Focus driver was just driving, the SUV driver admitted falling asleep at the wheel.

Driver passed away up at Baltimore Shock Trauma yesterday.

Durango hit the Focus at full speed. Side impact air bags can only do so much.

What another nightmare......way too many lately around here! My God, if you're that tired you should not be driving. It's no less dangerous than driving drunk. Pull over somewhere and sleep!

T&P to that poor family and their loved ones. Yet again, it's the innocent people that suffer.
