I hope he stays on at least until the GOP takes back both chambers and then I hope he gets re-elected. I've said this before and I'll keep on saying it; I will gladly trade the White House in exchange for control of the Senate and House forever.

It keeps the children happy because they have their symbols and feel good stuff while the adults do the work in congress. I honestly don't think Reagan would have done as well with a full time GOP congress.
