We posted our threads at the exact same time. I was busy looking for this video on you tube because it was funny and at 2:05 he says something ironic like you wait and see who will be in the hall of fame. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996.

We used to go to all the O games back when my parents were alive. Many many Earl Weaver experiences. I miss Memorial Stadium and the old birds.

My best memory of Earl Weaver was a Yankee game. On the third base side there was this pole - if a ball was hit to the left of it - foul, to the right, fair. One of yankees hit it to the left - but it was called as a fair ball and Earl came out of the dugout, turned his hat on backwards, inches from the umpires face and the crowd went CRAZY. Remember that - I think it was his trademark.

I can still hear their announcer in my mind sometime Bobby Grich, Don Baylor (another little "hothead" that I really liked), Brooks Robinson, Doug DeCinces, Jim Palmer and BOOOOOOG.

Nothing like a Baltimore fan.
