Installing a CD player

I went to Best Buy today to install my CD player / Ipod connections in my 2005 Neon. It used to be in my Celica, but when that broke down, I had it removed. Anyways...

I get there and they ring it up. The total was over $120. They wanted about $80 for the 15 minutes of install time. The other $40 was for parts...which is fine.

Figuring I can save quite a bit of money, I am going to install it myself. The wiring will be easy enough but I have no idea how to remove the dashboard. There aren't any screws holding it in and I am a bit afraid to just pry it off. Any idea on what to do or how to figure out how to take the dash off?

Might want to get a car repair manual. I seem to remember popping some fasteners out of a dash, but wouldn't swear to it.

That crap is a big jigsaw puzzle and you have to disassemble/assemble parts in the correct order. The Crutchfield directions have diagrams and are easy to use. If you get stuck they have good tech support.

Few years back I installed a new head unit and it didn't work when I was finished. Called them up, guy asked if I disconnected the battery before the job. When I said "No", he told me to check the fuse for the tail lights.
who'd of thunk the tail light fuse would kill the radio
