Zmax...

or Lucas Oil Products, or Red Line Oil, or Sea Foam. Has anyone used any of the above or something like them? Are they worth it? I'm trying the Lucas Oil stuff for the fuel and for the oil. Ole' lady swears the SS is running better and she says she's getting 3 more mpg. I haven't seen a big change in my truck yet. Who uses what and why?

I just use synthetic oil in everything.. mostly mobil products.

I can't imagine one synthetic can be ginormously better than the other to warrant the extravagant cost.

I just wish there was a cheap way to do an oil analysis to find out when I REALLY have to do an oil change. I'm curious as to how long synthetic oil really lasts, and would like to go more then 6- 10K miles between changes.

I use AMSOIL and have for years. I have the GM oil management system and it analyzes rpm, heat cycles and several other things as alerts me when it is time to change the oil based on my driving. This oil change came at 7800 miles. I read up on the GM OMS and heard on the auto shows on XM they all rave about how good the GM system works.

I have used AMSOIL and typically can go for 1.5 to 2 cycles before changing it and have never had a problem. My mileage went up nearly 2 mpg when I switched to AMSOIL this time from the factory oil.

Used Sea Foam
Poured it in the manifold vacume hose with the car running.
Turned it off and let it set for a day. When I fired it up, it smoked like a bytch, obviously loosened up a lot of crap

Yea all that, Worked wonders on a fuel system in a car that had been sitting for 2 years. It would start and run, but nothing above an idle. Mixed some SeaFoam in the tank and ran it for about 10 minutes a day after work for a week. Ran great after that.
