If it's a factory alarm, once you stick the key in the door to unlock it, it will disarm. If it's an aftermarket alarm, the "brain" should be under the dash somewhere with the name on it.

You need to figure out what type of alarm it is first.......

Check the owners manual.
When I changed the battery on my remote (Chevy), I had to press this button 10 times, then wait and push a different button.
I would have to read the directions again if I needed to do it again.

But the procedures should be in the owners manual of said vehicle (if it is a factory installed alarm).

True. You know where the battery lives on this car? First you jack it up and take off the left front wheel, then.....

I probably will pull the fuse that feeds the horn and a few othe things, though.

Give me a few to get the links, but I think you will be fine. Dodge stock alarms, however, do not operate like Mojo said. Weird, but if you lock the car with the remote, using the key doesnt disarm it.

If the remote doesn't work now you will probably have to take it to a dealer and have them program it for you. Chrysler's better engineering.
