Toyata Tundra.

Anyone have one? Do you like it? How is the dealer in Lex PK?

Saw a truck there I liked right away. TRD Rock Warrior
4x4 Crew cab with 5.7L V8. Only about $40k.

Wirelessly posted

Friend has a 2004 with about 130,000 miles. Truck runs and drives like new. Most vehicles get squeaks, rattles, and wind noise by that time but rolling on the beltway at 70+ mph it is quite, smooth, and comfortable. If I could afford one, I'd buy it tomorrow.

I had a 2006 4.7L and it was great! Upgraded to an F250 diesel.

Talk to Larry. He has/had a Tundra and I believe he liked it very much.

I have a Rav4 and am a huge Toyota fan. They are terrific vehicles; well made and sturdy.

What I don't like is the Toyota dealership on 235. Their service is great, but their sales segment could use some refining. Every couple months or so I get a "letter" from their "manager" saying that someone wants to buy *my* car and they will pay top dollar for it, therefore I should run right down and trade my 2006 in for a new model.

I find this insulting as hell and it comes across as slicky salesdouche bullcrap. If I ever want to trade up, I won't be going to this local dealer.

I get those same letters from PF Ford constantly (never even bought a car from them, just get service done there) and also from a Jeep dealership that I bought a truck from about 6 years ago and sold 4 years ago. Annoying? Absolutely....but I think most dealerships do that crap.

Funny story... I stopped in there a couple of weeks ago to inquire about some body work (they don't do it and send you elsewhere). Anyway, it was a salesman that took me back to the service department. He said to me, you bought your car from us (at the old location) and he asked me if I wanted to trade it in for a newer model, and it won't cost me thing! Great idea, right!?!

I asked him if he was going to give me a new car for free? I can just trade in my old one and drive on out with a new one? He said YES! It won't cost you a thing! Me --> why would I do that when mine is paid off and I do not want to incur another car payment. Him -->

He stopped dead in his tracks and gave me his card and said goodbye.

Nothing is ever free.

All the dealerships do that. Dodge was real bad with it when I had my Ram, they would call on the phone.
I finally told the guy that I was going to be trading it in, but I would not be coming to his dealership. He said, what can we do to get you back in here, I told him they would need to start selling Fords, or anything else with better quality than the crap Chrysler put out.
He said,, OUCH,,
never got another call from them.

Service is more what I was interested in and their general attitude over all. Junk mail always gets tossed w/o opening so that stuff won't bother me.
