| Sounds a lot like the fire down 7D way in Johnny's shop that destroyed some nice old Ford iron. Me, more than 10 years ago I bought a bunch of the engines that Nace Mattingly had stored/stashed away in a run-down tobacco barn on his farm. Picked up a lot of nice FEs out of that deal..including the 428 thats now all rebuilt and ready to go.

I have an old '72 Champ 17 that was originally built with a 427 H&M and a Volvo outdrive. I was going to stick the 428 in there (it has all the correct H&M marine stuff on it, including the dual oil filter/cooler) but in front of a heavily modified Berkeley drag jet. Project has been languishing for years...in part because all my old hot rod boat buddies from 7D are not playing with them any more (or..like Boots..are gone from this world altogether). Sorry for the thread hijack Rarebreed..

| The car is supposed to be delivered today!! I'm sure my husband didn't sleep much last night. Kind of like a kid the night before Christmas.

| Husband, our two boys, and family friend drove it home while I followed in our truck. We got it home and noticed one of the tires is messed up so that needs to be fixed before another test drive happens. Also seatbelts need to be installed in backseat (we found them in a coffee can in the trunk!)
