Volvo Mechanic?

We are looking for a local mechanic familiar with Volvos. We bought a used 2005 S60 and would rather not have to go to a dealership for service and/or repair. We live in northern St. Mary's. If you have any suggestions, we would appreciate a response. Thanks!

Have you found someone to work on your car? Can you share what is wrong with it?

It's a car, they generally all work the same..

Internal Combustion, Transmission etc.. etc..
It has an OBD port, so any up to date service center wouldn't have a problem working on it.

Unless it's a Volvo Diesel, than I'd look for diesel mechs.

Better a good all around mechanic than a half assed specialist. DO make sure they have the right diagnostic tools. A lot of stuff like ABS and transmission stuff is proprietary. Shops can buy tools to access that, but they sometimes wont if it's a brand they dont see to often. Anything having to do with emissions is by law open, meaning all your engine related stuff. But airbags, ABS, stability control, anything a body computer handles, like windows or door locks or alarm system, that stuff wont be accessible without the right software.
