Sooner or later NASCAR will have so many rules and regulations that the starting lineup will also be the final results. Let the guys race, I thought todays race was pretty bad.

Kind of like F1 is now?

Today's race sucked. Even worse with all the crashes at the end. That was a total joke. Worse than F1. Worse than ARCA's worst races. Just plain terrible.

yes I saw that. Looked weird watching them thru the corners with gaps between the cars.

It's a catch 22, do away with the plates and risk death in 240 mph crashes or keep it the way it is and risk death in 195 mph crashes wiping out the field.

I think with the safety features of these cars, the plate can go. At least try it for a year.

I think you need the plates to control the speed but after that just let the guys(girls too) race. Let them run whatever gear, trans, deck height whatever. The desire to be the best has always been what drives racing, they use the BS about making it affordable for single car teams and small operations to compete but now they have created a 190 mph log jam with regulations. Limit the horse power and let the rest be free game to whomever can make it happen and everyone else will catch up, like it was for 45 years or so.
