It's a catch 22, do away with the plates and risk death in 240 mph crashes or keep it the way it is and risk death in 195 mph crashes wiping out the field.

I think with the safety features of these cars, the plate can go. At least try it for a year.

The tracks are the problem. They need to tear down the banking.

I don't know how many more people need to die at these two tracks for NASCAR to get the picture.

How can anybody think it's a good idea for the National STOCK CAR racing association to not race stock cars?

lose the V8s.
smaller engines will mean slower speeds (for a while).
require them to run on pump gas.
require manufactures to build at least 500 units to qualify as stock

It used to be "Win on Sunday, sell on Monday"
That went away when the race cars bore no resemblance to what was in the showroom (except for a name sticker)

My brother was there this weekend.... can't wait for him to come home tomorrow

They seem to be having a great time... but they are camping at the track and it's probably the party more than then the race that they are enjoying.

I'll tell you what, that was a TERRIBLE race. NASCAR owes the fans an apology.

While at it, they need to go tear the banking down so they don't need the restrictor plates.
