I work in DC, and yes - it does by far have a black majority. But Black History month is not primarily directed towards the Greater Washington-Baltimore Metropolitan Area, it is directed towards the nation as a whole.

Concerning other minorities, perhaps you should do some research. You will find that WGN (for example) celebrates Asian American History month.......

i don't know who or what Asian reporter trisha takanawa is but i've never heard of it so it def not a nationally recognized thing. why can't people just celebrate quitely to themselves instead of having a national month about it because frankly i don't care. when i read about history, i see names, and they dont have little B or W tags on them. who cares what they were. why can't we note their accomplishments as an american and not a black american.

I understood your question perfectly. I was just being as argumentative as you were.
You look mighty cute today.

Have you been to Minisota before. The last time I checked they don't have many black people there. That proves that blacks are still a minority.

so what? who cares about some little colony you call 'minisota' the point of the matter is that blackeys are the MAJORITY IN OUR COUNTRY'S CAPITAL. the weight of that significant little tidbit will certainly tip the scales in favor of blackey majority.

Do you genuinely feel as though the accomplishments of white people (in general) have gone unnoticed? Please explain your intentions. I'm currently having a hard time viewing this as nothing more than a mean-spirited and petty attempt, to further sully racial relations.

Please speak as though you live in the 21st century.

One city (or region) can not accurately reflect the overall demographics of the nation. I have lived on a Native American reservation, for example. I certainly couldn't base my assessment of the nation's majority on that supposition, could I?
