I learned this when I first started donating blood. When my youngest son was born he went through changes because our blood types counteracted which caused him to have jaundice extremely bad. He is AB and I believe + (AB+).

I always wondered if he was really mine based on that but since he's such a great kid I'll continue to keep him. Hopefully, I haven't committed baby theft.

Lexi, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you have committed baby theft. It is impossible for a O+ mother to have a AB+ child. Check out the chart with the link below. We can begin a search immediately for his real mother. Socki is good at finding missing people. Maybe she will volunteer to assist.

Where was he born? All hospitals do blood typing when the baby is born. Maybe you could check with the hospital and find out if he is in fact AB+. Might just be a misunderstanding on your part and you didn't actually steal him from his real mom.

He was born in Greater Southeast Community Hospital. I will trade my oldest to the real mom if I stole the youngest. Otherwise no deal.




But, seriously I just checked his Newborn Discharge Instructions and he is A+ and I am O+. Some other interesting finds is that his length was 52cm and his head was 35.5cm What a big head.

I know from being pregnant and having the doc suggest that I still take the shot for the RH factor even though my husband is O- -- Doc said he just saw too many people who lied about the father's of their babies! Sad, isn't it!

O+ for sure. Red Cross won't take my blood though, spent wayyyy too much time outside the USA in some disease riddled countries.
