Two reasons:

The men my age who were married and are now getting divorced for what ever reason want no strings and they want to sew the wild oats they missed out on by marrying young.

And guys my age are still clinging to their youth by doing crazy, adrelaline pumping stuff like sky-diving and I'm just not in to that crap.

I like a nice, slow geezer who don't move too much.

Could be demographics, not all young uns are more fun, just most of them!
Calvert (St. Marys can't be far behind) is listed as one of the worst places to live if you are (really old - like me) over 50, because there are more men than women in that age group.
