Good news for all fans of Indian food!

Looks like there will be an Indian restaurant opening in San Souci Plaze, right where Baja Coast was. The sign said it will be called "A Taste of India", but I couldn't find an exact date for the grand opening. Anyone know?

I CAN'T WAIT!!

Haven't had Indian food in sooooooo long, and most of the folks I used to hang out with years ago, not to mention my family, weren't up for trying it. They don't know what they are missing. Man, do I hope it catches on down here.

I'm surprised it took so long; I'm sure there is quite a demand for it down here with all the people on Navy/contractor business visiting from DC.

Whoo-hoo for Indian food - I say bring it on! The only place I have ever gotten it was down in Virginia Beach at Nawab's. :yum:

It looks like San Souci Plaza is turning into an international dining court - Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Japanese - not counting the fast-food establishments. I *finally* tried Monterey (Mexican) Saturday night - it was very, very good and dirt cheap! And they're expanding to double the size of the restaurant!

I can't wait for Indian food. I used to have it all the time when I lived in Boston. There was a Indian Food restaruant near my house..ummm...curry.

One other type of restaurant that could come down here is Thai food. I haven't had Pad Thai in so long.

Katie, which one was that? I could swear I knew where every one in Boston was.

There is Suporn's in White Plains - not sure if you know about it. There was a thread a couple of months ago about it. I've been there and the food was very good.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be patronizing this place. The last time I ate curry I had so much fire flying out of my ass people thought I was a drag racer!

They probably thought they were somehow at MRI... Thanks for the image that is now imprinted on my brain...PURGE, PURGE...

Not all Indian (or Thai - not sure which one you were talking about) is hot - you can normally specify a heat level when ordering. I'm a wimp when it comes to hot - I like a little and a little goes a LONG way.

You know that "music" you hear in Indian restaurants? That AIEEEEOOOOAIEEEOOO???
That's not Indian music, that's me screaming from the fire!
The last time, the fire was shooting out so bad some guys working on a building across the street came over and asked me to do some spot welding for them!
I helped them add three stories that day...
