Good for Ari! I wondered if he was going to bail after he got married - that's no kind of life if you want a family. Heck, Mike McCurry should get some kind of award for making it almost three years.

When I worked on the hill, my family life was terrible. My days during a session were usually from 6 in the morning to 10 at night. If there was something especially pressing for my boss, it could be even longer. All-nighters were not uncommon. I can only imagine what a White House official must undergo. And my God, campaigns. I was involved in one tight Senate election race and man it was terrible. I didn't see my wife or kids for weeks at a time.
