Please Help: Cant deal with the Shah's anymore!

I cant deal with those damn Shah's anymore. I have been seeing a doctor in the bean building in family practice for almost a year and I am just tired of it being so difficult to get an appointment there and when I call to talk to someone in the family practice I end up speaking to in India or somewhere who I can not understand thier english. Other than just that the women there at the front desk and a few of the nurses are unbelieveably rude and when the nurse calls me to the back they all stare at me and make it very muck known that they are wispering to others about me and giveing me dirty looks etc... On top of that I have had problems with the women there giving out personal information about me to other doctors without my authorization and even to thier patients. Im not sure what to do about that situation in the meantime but I first of all need to just find a new doctor.

Besides that I am just not happy with the treatment I have recieved there and I am looking to find family doctor in the surroinding area st.marys,charles,calvert .... However I WILL NOT return to anyone affilated with the shah's. The family doctor I was seeing there was also treating me as my pain management doctor as well so if I could find a family/pain management doctor in one that would be awsome.

I use to go to Dr. Jarboe over at the Bean building and stopped for those very same reasons. I go to St. Clements Health and Cancer Center in Leonardtown. That is a great place. I would never go back to Jarboes office.

and you are not the only one they shared personal information either. I found out they were blabbing personal info about me as well. Another reason I left. Dr. Jamie Boyd is a great Doctor too.

we left a LONG time ago when she was my first son's pediatrician- she rammed a tongue stick into my then 2 year old's mouth. I yanked him off the table and told her to forget her copay. We'd never be back and we did that. Now we see Dr. Wilkinson, St. Clement's Medical center- right next to Saint Mary's hospital. He, his associates and staff are awesome!

I usually hit the CVS for their prescriptions if they are sick/fluoride for their teeth after kid visits - in and out in just a few minutes. they are a family practice.

Medicine today appears to have made the old "Family " doctor obsolete.

So many times today a doctor will see you and then reccommend you go to see another Doctor. A specialist in the field your particular illness appears to be in. Most every ailment has a Specialist. IMO from what I have heard of the Shah's ,and I admit ,I dont go there. The Shahs are filled up with specialists and if you go there long enough you will see them all. They make the big bucks by shuffling you from one specialist to another 'ad infinitum.' Just an opinion mind you. Based on hearsay, because of the many stories I have heard from people who go there. I dont.

Dr. Batong is closing her practice to go into the emergency room. I am trying to find my husband and my daughter another doctor. My husband has been going to Batong for years.

Calvert Family Practice isn't taking new patients. Calvert Internal mis-diagnosed my MRSA and because I wanted a cut in their fee for the extra days in the hospital I had to spend because of their rare error... they refuse to treat me. Dr. Cafferty has a brand new practice but he doesn't have my insurance yet, so I can't send my husband to him. Dr. Nasr's office hasn't returned my call yet.

So who do you go to?

I have talket to "John" numerous times making appts, etc. It does sound like he is in India or something. Do you really think he is? He is quite pleasent if you can understand him, but I still find it weird.

I go to St. Clement's Medical & Cancer Care, Located in the Blair Building next to Arizoina Pizza in leonardtown. (301) 997-1580. They are taking new patients. This is part of Dr. Wikensons Practice. They are very friendly an d the BEST PART THEY "SPEAK ENGLISH". They take time and listen to you and they care.

Another vote for St. Clement's. I've been going to Dr. Wilkinson probably since he started. Also see Dr. Finkleston. Haven't been to Dr. Russell at the Cancer Center office yet, but my daughter has seen her and really likes her too. IMO, you can't go wrong with anyone in the St. Clement's group.
