We are thinking about re-financing our house. I have gotton re-fi info from Ditech and was wondering if the charges they apply are normal. Though maybe someone from the forum might know. TIA :howdy:

Please be very careful. They may give you a low interest rate, however you will pay for it via points. Find a direct lender Bank of America/Suntrust or Md Bank and Trust.

We refinanced with the same bank that we had our original mortgage with and didn't have to pay any closing costs and the paper work was minimal.

We're using the same bank also to re-fi, but the fees seem very high. I thought they would treat me better since I am a current customer and make my payments on time, but I don't believe they are. The Ditech fee alone is $1,991.00.
