by calvert mem? I was thinking someone here may know its story. Im sure it was a nice place in its day. Ive always liked that house with all the big old trees. Its kinda sad now sitting there with the land cleared all around with bulldozers waiting.
That house has to hold, so many amazing memories!
Why yes... yes it does.
I used to strip tobacco there. then it got old and when we started having strippers there. Eventually there will be a strip mall.
Hey Pez, we have collected several old bottles from our farm. What site do you use to look them up??Thanks for the replies. I have a co worker who collects old bottles and has given me a few he found here in the county. They are fun to research. I guess thats what sparked my interest in the local history. Weve been here 20years and still feel new to the area sometimes. Its a shame to see the old farms go.
Thanks again and happy new year!
No big story to the house. It was owned by the Dorsey family originally. I don't know who owned it most recently.
The property belonged to the Dorsey Family. Heirs of the last resident sold the property to the Calvert Memorial Hospital. One of the heirs was Dr. William Dorsey who is a Vet in Prince Frederick.
WaWa, Sonic, and a Go Cart Track going there
Why yes... yes it does.
