Mine appears fine, but I'm on the West Coast. Only 9:30 here.

I got one text through at exactly midnight, after that I can do nothing, recieving party said they got it, I didnt get my happy new year text back.
No idea what is going on. On the phone with verizon right now.

Just got through to Verizon tech support, they said it stops working every year when they transition to a new year. Should be back up no later than 2 a.m.

There has been a lot of internet chatter about something big happening on New Years.
