Crime Solvers: Waldorf Pottery Burglary

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office and Charles County Crime Solvers are asking for the public’s assistance in solving two burglaries that occurred recently at Waldorf Pottery located at 4781 Crain Highway in White Plains.

Both burglaries occurred on weekdays between the late evening and early morning hours. The first occurred between Nov. 20 and Nov. 21 and the second occurred Dec. 28.

The suspect(s) parked in a wooded area off of Route 301 within walking distance of the business and cut a large area out of a chain-link fence. They stole more than $5,000 in topiaries and shrubs during the first burglary and more than $3,000 in topiaries and large ceramic pots during the second. The suspects are possibly driving full-size vehicles.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-609-6428 or Charles County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest or indictment. All calls remain anonymous. Det. J. McKenzie is investigating.
