Well, I can tell you that I rented a 1BR apartment in Hickory Hills at that time, it was $750/month. Now the 1BR's rent for $927/month! That's quite a significant difference. You could also go to google and search "Maryland Real Property Search" and query the sales for St. Mary's county in 2001, that will give you a good idea of how ridiculous the cost of living has become here!
