A special traffic plan will be in effect from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on both Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27. No vehicles will be allowed to turn left into the fairgrounds from Md. Rt. 231 during those hours. Traffic will be redirected onto Sixes Road to Adelina Road to Md. Rt. 231 and then to turn right into the fair. Additionally, there will be a drop-off area for children along eastbound Md. Rt. 231, just east of the main entrance to the fairgrounds. There will be a message board designating the drop off and pick up site. There will be delineators set up for safety purposes at the drop-off and pick-up site as well.
On Friday, additional parking will be at Hallowing Point Park and in the Cox Farm field (across from the old Sunoco station). On Saturday, there will be additional parking at the Cox Farm field only. Shuttle Bus service will be provided to and from the parking areas to the fairgrounds.
The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office suggests that participants involved in shows at the fair leave home early to ensure themselves plenty of time.
