Waldorf Stabbing

A 17-year-old was fatally stabbed on a Waldorf street Wednesday night, and police are seeking any leads in the case.

The young man, Antonio McVicker of Waldorf, was walking with another 17-year-old on Dorset Drive just before 9:30 p.m. when someone wearing dark clothes ran up to them, confronted McVicker, and stabbed him once in the abdomen.

The suspect then fled, possibly in a white car. The victim ran a short distance to Jubilee Way and then collapsed. The victim was taken to nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

It is sad news.

I call Waldorf PG South. I work there/here and the crime has escalated a bunch in the last 5 years.

A few years ago I was living in an apartment very near this location. A couple weeks ago I happened to drive through that area and saw how they have remodeled the shopping center on the corner. Unfortunately, the residents are no better.

But yeah, I do miss it because that Safeway looks reeeeal nice. :ohwell:
