Ohio.com - Akron police investigate teen mob attack on family

Akron police say they aren't ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation.

But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.

It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend's home in South Akron.

Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ''This is our world'' and ''This is a black world'' as they confronted Marshall and his family.

The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black.

There is no 'reverse discrimination'. It's should be flat out 'discrimination'.


A crime is a crime. The racists behind this crime are emboldened because there is a supposedly 'black' Prez.


Our society has gotten so ghetto. I never saw a sequined hat or jacket that proclaimed "George Washington, Our First White President".



I'll get to Costa Rica eventually, after the Messiah proclaims he's for all Americans who want to be on the government plantation. The rest of us who actually have to pay for his bullchit are bailing.

Of course it's not racist. Only white people can be racist.

Naturally, if it had been a group of white kids beating up a black couple, their children, and their friends, Jesse and Al would be shrieking to high heaven, demanding a local, state, and federal investigation into the matter. They wouldn't be satisfied until somebody was either swinging from a rope, or sentenced to eternity in prison.
