Oh, the humanity!

Here's a video from Breitbart.com of an American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) members' meeting at which members refused to behave as their socialist betters expected.

How dare these hateful, racist, swastika-bearing septuagenarians paid by the insurance industry, bussed in by Rush Limbaugh, mindlessly regurgitating Glenn Beck quotations, and controlled by RNC-installed microchips in their brains express skepticism of the Almighty Obama's plan for healthcare utopia!

Standing up to authority is downright un-American.

They should be reported to flag@whitehouse.gov immediately.

Quick Grasshopper, get their names and find out which ones got checks from ACORN to protest.

The Maryland AARP HEALTH page uses some buzzwords to describe the debate. Apparently the opposition to reform is using "scare tactics". I suppose someone could use a walker as a weapon at one of those meetings.

I can't figure out (other than registering for their page, which I will not do) how to send them an email voicing my dissent to their endorsement.

DividedWeFail.org falls into the same category.

I found the stories posted at FreeRepublic.com when I was reading this morning. At the moment, there is a column on the right of their "News/Activism" forum which has links to the most recently posted threads - (it changes throughout the day, according to the postings, of course)

here's a couple -

Update: Violence erupts after Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-MO) town hall on health care, six arrests made

This is a posted thread - not a news story -

Interesting. Thanks.

NOT Politically Correct!!
I throw all AARP correspondence in the Garbage or use it to start my BBQ. AARP is backing Obamacare in hopes of becoming one of the Governments trusted agents to sign people up for Government Healthcare. IMO it's nothing more than a power and money grab. :coffee:

Exactly!

I have never joined this socialist group and never will. Their discounts are far less than my discounts from being retired military.

Quite honestly, AARP can kiss my butt.

My belief is that the AARP, which sells insurance by the way, is hoping to get the opportunity to sell the Governments policies to it's members.

AARP did issue a statement from their leadership earlier this week that they did not support Obamma Health Care per se, but that there were certain parts of the plan that they did like. They did not elaborate.

I am not a AARP supporter, but I think this needs to have some accuracy if it is meant to be worthwhile.
