Junger was with a platoon in Eastern A'stan, a tiny part of the nation, where some ridiculous disproportion of total US firefights happened, daily, nightly, to the point where the troops got really ####ing weird when no shooting was going on.

As a correspondent for Vanity Fair magazine, Junger made five trips to Afghanistan's Korengal Valley in 2007 and 2008, embedded with the 2nd Platoon, Battle Company of the storied 173rd Airborne Brigade. "War" is the result of those journeys into a world so alien to civilians it might as well be a planet in some distant solar system.

No, the Windows thing is to keep repeating 'I'm a PC and Windows 7 was my idea', when they know darn well that whatever they're talking about was Apple's idea (142 years ago).
