Yeah, but I wonder if the driver knew it was a person. They may have thought it was debris. Good thing either way.

It's a good thing he was thrown out and survived, if he had been strapped into that thing he would probably be dead.
(expecting the usual seat belt and helmet enthusiasts to flame me )
I think perhaps theres no way to know if he was strapped in. Very possible the parts of the car that the belt attaches to ripped apart in the crash, leaving him free to cartwheel to survival. Of course, when they download the EVDR, if it survived.
