With the tens of millions of dollars he has raked in thanks to the propagation of the GW scam and the creative ways he found to use that to line his own pockets...he can do pretty much anything he wants to.

Gore is a partner in a venture capital firm that is reaping a lot of benefit from this whole scam global warming thing.

The firm, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, is “one of Silicon Valley’s top venture capital providers,” who, by the way, is “looking for $75 million to expand its partnerships with utilities seeking to install millions of so-called smart meters in homes and businesses.”

Mr. Gore and his partners backed this little company called Silver Springs Networks, which produces “hardware and software to make the electricity grid more efficient.” To add to the back-and-forth massage-fest, Silver Spring retained McManBearPig and John Doerr, another Kleiner Perkins partner, as unpaid corporate advisers.

And last week, the Energy Department “announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts.”

But, yeah, he’s doing all of this out of the goodness of his heart and to save us all from the perils of global warming.

Riiiiiiiiight. You just keep on thinking that, bleeding hearts….
