Can a state Constitutionally recall its Senators?

The New Jersey Supreme Court, rightly I think, says no, at least in so far as New Jersey is concerned. Here is its opinion in The Committee to Recall Robert Menendez v Nina Wells.

I'd guess that the plaintiffs will appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court. However, I don't think the Supreme Court will overturn the ruling (at least, not the ruling on the merits as distinguished from the ripeness finding), especially considering some of the dicta found in the U.S. Term Limits v Thornton (1995) opinions.
