All,
Last year myself and a band of fellow Active Duty and Retired Navy Chiefs put together a team and participated in the Ride Across Maryland, to raise funds to support the fight against breast cancer. We did this in honor of a sister Chief of ours, Chief Petty Officer Dabet Velez, who passed away while on active duty from breast cancer.
We were able to build a Forty Six member team and collect more than $17,000 in donations for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Maryland affiliate.
We are now in the process if putting our team together for the 2011 ride and this year we have 2 Hooters Locations, Hooters of Waldorf and Laurel Hooters coming on board as sponsors.
Please, If you are in the Southern Maryland area please considering joining our team and help us raise the much needed funds.
