Don't think we're out of the woods yet and you can drive with impunity.
Pulling out of an unplowed, slushy parking lot to turn onto 235. I was way slow coming to a stop, and put on the final bit of pressure at the end of the drive. My brakes locked up and I slid into the road slightly. 50 million expletives ran through my head in a split second.
Fortunately, the oncoming car saw me and slowed to give me just the pinch of time/space I needed to correct and pull out safely in front of her.
So thanks, lady in the white Caravan - way to be paying attention!
