Fight at the Lexington Park LoneStar New Years eve? Whats the skinny?
Sonic withdrawals?

If you've been in there lately, you might understand. Went there a couple weeks ago; will not be going back! Some real thuggish looking folks working there now. Food sucked and hired help cared less.

10 to 1 says they close by Arpil.

Looks can be deceiving, the thuggish looking one are probably as gentle as a lamb. Well if a waitress got escorted out that mean there is a job opening, for who ever is looking.

I heard that place was getting turned around. Only one left in Maryland.

:tap: I want to be able to get a decent steak without having to endure the 'newness' of the next steak joint, or the annoyingness of California Parkwood - just want Lone Star to get their smoke straight and back to decent food like their other locations. No BS just good food.

That Lone Star in the park was my favorite 'steak and tater' joint only a few years ago. When their quality went down..it was not gradual..it friggin plummeted.

When cooking, I find that I always know exactly what I want, versus some steak joint.

That's probably my problem..high expectations. I buy an an entire Angus steer every year from a local fella and keep half, with the other half going to various family members. Corn fed..pen finished..hung/aged exactly the number of days I request after killin....my cut specs for every piece of meat. (1 1/4" T-bones..mmmmm)

But doggone it...I like to pay someone else to cook once in a while too.

Yeah, this is why I haven't gone out for a good meal for a while. They are hard to find and expensive to go looking. Hard to beat a good cut of beef or a mahi on the the grill. Kind if hard to find also.

And yet both are not hard to find with exceptional quality. All the restaurants have gone to taking whatever comes on the lone food service truck from North Carolina each day and living with it.

Ha ha

We went there about a month ago. I asked the waitress what they had on tap. She told me, and I ordered a draft Sam Adams. She came back with a bottle of Sammy. When I pointed out that I had asked for a draft beer, she assured me that there is no difference, and "draft" just means the bottled beer has been poured into a mug. I told her that was not the case, but just drank the bottled beer. We had a good chuckle over it. We won't be going back either though. Poor service, mediocre food. And we are pretty easy to please.
