If Hollywood knows that St Marys Airport is refered to as 2W6, than you would think they would have the means to find flight instructors

I took that as seeking recommendations.

Go to Piedmont Flight center and take some business cards from their independent instructors. You would rent the plane from Piedmont, the instructors are for the most part independents.
Call a couple of them and meet up to see whether you 'click' and whether your respective schedules work (most of them have day jobs). I did a checkout with a guy named Rusty (I would have to look for his business card to get the last name) and he seemed very straightforward and easy to work with.
