Rt 4 in Prince Frederick shut down

Apparently there was a bad accident near the Safeway and southbound traffic is being rerouted through Armory Rd. Major backup.

I read someone was being flown out. Prayers to those involved.

Actually accident was just south of intersection, just before where Prince Frederick Animal Hospital used to be. Fire equipment apparatus blocked 4 s off there. MSP came in and closed off the intersection by safeway making sb traffic turn right at the light,

We went out to eat at Ruby Tuesdays - I don't know if the young man worked there or not, but that was the talk among all the staff. Apparently his mother had phoned in and indicated that he was going to be OKAY It was a nasty looking accident; I drove past just after it happed and rescue equipment was continuing to arrive. They were starting up the 'jaws' to cut the car to get him out. Looking at the damage, he is a lucky young man!
