Electronic Recycling Now Available

Citizens are advised that electronic product recycling (also known as “eCycling”) is now available at the Breeze Farm Recycling Center in Cobb Island, in addition to other recycling locations in the County. eCycling reduces to the amount of toxins entering the waste stream (i.e., lead, mercury, and arsenic) and saves landfill space, which conserves natural resources.

Residential electronics accepted free of charge during regular center hours include:
• Computers (CPU's, monitors, laptops, peripherals)
• Televisions (no console or projection tv's)
• Small printers, scanners, and copy machines
• DVD and VCR players
• Stereo equipment
• Microwaves
• Cell phones (Cell phones should be handed to the attendant)

Commercial materials are strictly prohibited.

The following centers accepts eCycling items:

*Breeze Farm Recycling Center (15950 Cobb Island Road, Cobb Island)is open Wednesdays from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.;
*Charles County Landfill Recycling Center (12305 Billingsley Road in Waldorf) is open Monday–Saturday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.;
*Pisgah Recycling Center (6645 Mason Springs Road in Pisgah) is open Monday–Saturday, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
