I have to go into DC on Monday, and I was planning on being at the Branch Ave. Metro station around 6:45. Will there be parking available at that hour? I heard somebody say that if you don't get there before 6:00, you don't have any chance of getting a parking spot, but I don't know how accurate that is. Suggestions?

why, is Monday a holiday?
I would say it USE to be a problem, but I have not tried to park there in years on a week day morning. Last time I was there I seem to recall they wree building new parking lots. I don't rightly know how it is now.

traffic is usually a little lighter on Mondays but at 6:45, not likely you'll get a spot.

I would recommend the commuter bus if you are going in during rush hour- cheaper, no parking issues (including the fact that you do not have to pay to park as with the Metro) and just an all around better commute in my opinion
