Air Show!

The 2011 Joint Service Open House and Air Show is this weekend at Andrew's AFB. The Thunderbirds were practicing yesterday afternoon, and I had a great view from my window here in my hermetically sealed office on the 8th floor! Sombody is flying around out there right now. Pretty loud!! Looks to be a nice weekend for it!!

Yesterday was practice. Today is the full Air Show for DOD only (as well as school groups). Tomorrow and Sunday is the "open to the public" airshow. Should be a nice weekend for it.

2009 & 2010 I watched from the roof of the new Air National Guard Headquarters. So close you could almost touch them!

I got a preview show while driving home on the Beltway near the Andrew's AFB exit. I'm surprised that there were no accidents with people watching the planes do loop-de-loops.
